2 E todas as obras de seu poder e de seu valor, e a declaração da grandeza de Mardoqueu, a quem o rei engrandeceu, por acaso não estão escritas no livro das crônicas dos reis da Média e da Pérsia?
3 Pois o judeu Mardoqueu foi o segundo depois do rei Assuero, e grande entre os judeus, e agradável à multidão de seus irmãos, procurando o bem de seu povo, e falando prosperidade para todo o seu povo.
