11 E todo Israel transgrediu tua lei, desviando-se para não ouvir tua voz; por isso a maldição, e o juramento que está escrito na lei de Moisés, servo de Deus, foram derramados sobre nós; porque contra ele pecamos.

12 E ele confirmou sua palavra que falou sobre nós, e sobre nossos juízes que nos julgavam, trazendo sobre nós tão grande mal, que nunca havia sido feito debaixo do céu como o que foi feito em Jerusalém.

13 Assim como está escrito na Lei de Moisés, todo aquele mal veio sobre nós; contudo não suplicamos à face do SENHOR nosso Deus, para nos convertermos de nossas maldades, e entender a tua verdade.

14 O SENHOR vigiou sobre o mal, e o trouxe sobre nós; porque justo é o SENHOR nosso Deus em todas suas obras que fez; pois não obedecemos a sua voz.

15 Agora pois, ó Senhor nosso Deus, que tiraste teu povo da terra do Egito com mão poderosa, e fizeste famoso o teu nome até hoje; temos pecado, agimos com maldade.
