6 E o profeta Jeremias falou a Zedequias, rei de Judá, todas estas palavras em Jerusalém,

7 Enquanto o exército do rei de Babilônia lutava contra Jerusalém e contra todas as cidades de Judá que haviam restado: contra Laquis, e contra Azeca; pois essas cidades fortificadas haviam restado dentre as cidades de Judá.

8 Palavra que veio do SENHOR a Jeremias, depois que o rei Zedequias fez um pacto com todo o povo em Jerusalém, para lhes proclamar liberdade;
