8 Irritando-me com as obras de vossas mãos, oferecendo incenso a outros deuses na terra do Egito, para onde entrastes para morar; de modo que sereis eliminados, e servireis de maldição e de humilhação entre todas as nações da terra?
9 Por acaso já vos esquecestes das maldades de vossos pais, das maldades dos reis de Judá, das maldades de suas mulheres, e das vossas [próprias] maldades, e das maldades de vossas mulheres, que foram feitas na terra de Judá e nas ruas de Jerusalém?
10 Até hoje não se contristaram, nem temeram, nem andaram em minha lei, nem em meus estatutos que pus diante de vós e diante de vossos pais.
11 Portanto assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos, Deus de Israel: Eis que eu dirijo meu rosto a vós para o mal, e para destruir a todo Judá.
12 E tomarei os restantes de Judá que dirigiram seus rostos para entrarem na terra do Egito para ali morar, e na terra do Egito serão todos consumidos; cairão a espada, e serão consumidos pela fome; desde o menor até o maior, pela espada e pela fome morrerão. E servirão de maldição e de espanto; de amaldiçoamento e de humilhação.
