10 Até hoje não se contristaram, nem temeram, nem andaram em minha lei, nem em meus estatutos que pus diante de vós e diante de vossos pais.

11 Portanto assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos, Deus de Israel: Eis que eu dirijo meu rosto a vós para o mal, e para destruir a todo Judá.

12 E tomarei os restantes de Judá que dirigiram seus rostos para entrarem na terra do Egito para ali morar, e na terra do Egito serão todos consumidos; cairão a espada, e serão consumidos pela fome; desde o menor até o maior, pela espada e pela fome morrerão. E servirão de maldição e de espanto; de amaldiçoamento e de humilhação.

13 Pois castigarei aos que moram na terra do Egito, tal como castiguei a Jerusalém, com espada, fome e pestilência.

14 De maneira que, dos restantes de Judá que entraram na terra do Egito para morar ali, não haverá quem escape, nem quem reste vivo, para voltar à terra de Judá, da qual eles anseiam para voltar a habitar lá; pois não voltarão, a não ser alguns fugitivos.
