21 Por acaso não se lembrou o SENHOR, e não veio a sua mente o incenso que oferecestes nas cidades de Judá, e nas praças de Jerusalém, vós e vossos pais, vossos reis e vossos príncipes, e o povo da terra?

22 De tal maneira que o SENHOR não podia mais aguentar, por causa da maldade de vossas ações, por causa das abominações que fizestes; por isso vossa terra se tornou em desolação, em espanto, e em maldição, até não restar morador, tal como hoje está.

23 Pois oferecestes incenso e pecastes contra o SENHOR, e não obedecestes à voz do SENHOR, nem andastes em seu lei, seus estatutos, e seus testemunhos; por isso veio sobre vós este mal, tal como há hoje.
