26 Portanto ouvi a palavra do SENHOR, todos vós de Judá que habitais na terra do Egito: Eis que juro por meu grande nome, diz o SENHOR, que nunca mais meu nome será chamado pela boca homem algum de Judá, em toda a terra do Egito, dizendo: Vive o Senhor DEUS.

27 Eis que eu os observarei para o mal, e não para o bem; e todos os homens de Judá que estão na terra do Egito serão consumidos pela espada e pela fome, até que se acabem por completo.

28 E os que escaparem do espada voltarão da terra do Egito para a terra de Judá, poucos em número; e todo o restante de Judá, que entrou em Egito para ali morar, saberá qual palavra se confirmará, se a minha ou a sua.

29 E isto tereis por sinal, diz o SENHOR, de que neste lugar eu vos castigo, para que saibais que certamente minhas palavras se confirmarão contra vós para o mal.

30 Assim diz o SENHOR: Eis que eu entregarei ao Faraó Ofra, rei do Egito, nas mãos de seus inimigos, e nas mão dos que buscam sua morte, assim como entreguei a Zedequias rei de Judá nas mãos de Nabucodonosor rei de Babilônia, seu inimigo, e que buscava sua morte.
