Answering a dispute about greatness, Jesus says entry into the kingdom requires becoming like a child: dependent, trusting, unimpressed with status, aware of need. It is not childish naivety but childlike humility — abandoning the self-importance that keeps adults from receiving grace as a gift.

Jesus makes the kingdom gate very specific: you must become like a little child — dependent, humble, without pretense or self-sufficiency. You do not enter on your merit, your knowledge, or your religious standing. You enter as someone who has nothing to bring. Have you actually come to God that way — with no claim, no accomplishment, no leverage? Or do you still bring something to the altar as a reason He should receive you?
Humble yourself before the Father today. Come to Him with empty hands — no merit, no claim, no religious résumé. Name the thing you've been bringing to justify yourself: your service, your knowledge, your sacrifice. Lay it down. Enter His kingdom the only way Jesus allows: as a child with nothing, depending wholly on Him. Do this now, before you pray again.
When you embrace childlike dependence, you enter the Father's arms with nothing between you and Him. This humility strips away the need for control and allows you to rest fully in His care. You experience His provision with unburdened trust, drawn into an intimacy that self-sufficiency blocks.
