Jesus states a staggering measure — “as the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you” — then commands: remain there. Continuing in His love means living daily inside that acceptance rather than drifting into performance or doubt, and He ties the remaining to keeping His commandments, as He kept His Father’s.
John 15:9 KJV“As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.”

Jesus commands you to stay in His love — not drift from it, not let anything displace it, but remain in it consciously and continuously. This calls for an ongoing awareness of and response to the love of Christ, letting it be the atmosphere you live in rather than something you revisit occasionally. Are you continuing in His love? Or have you, in the pressure and noise of daily life, quietly moved out of that place — still believing, but no longer truly resting in it?
You are continuing in His love today or you are drifting. Right now, turn your attention back to the love of Christ — how He pursued you, what He endured for you, the permanence of His affection. The next time you feel unloved, unworthy, or alone, return to His love and stay there. Do not let shame or busyness pull you away. Continue in His love as your dwelling place, not your occasional refuge.
When you continue in His love, your joy is full. This is the Father's love poured into you through the Son — the same love the Father has for Jesus, now resting on you. You draw near to the Father's heart as you abide in the love of the Son, and that love becomes the source of joy that circumstances cannot touch.
