Jesus commands discernment about where sacred things are offered: do not keep pressing holy truth on those who have shown they will only trample it and turn on you. It balances the previous verses — refuse hypocritical judgment, but exercise wisdom about hardened contempt.
Matthew 7:6 KJV“Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.”

Jesus commands discernment — knowing when and with whom to share what is sacred. Not every person is ready for every truth, and not every moment is right for the deep things of God. This calls for wisdom, observation, and the discipline to hold back sometimes, even when you could speak. Are you exercising that kind of discernment in how and with whom you share the things of God?
When someone mocks what you hold sacred or weaponizes your honest testimony, stop offering it. The next time the opportunity arises with that person, remain silent on holy matters. Listen, redirect, or simply say nothing. Withhold the pearl. This is not withholding love — it is guarding what is precious from certain desecration. Know the difference. Guard what God has entrusted to you.
Obeying this command deepens your intimacy with the Father by refining your understanding of what is sacred. You learn to cherish His truth not as something to broadcast indiscriminately, but as a gift entrusted to your careful stewardship. You guard His holy things with the same reverence He does, and in that guarding, you draw closer to His heart.
