Asked for the greatest commandment, Jesus quotes the Shema: love God with all your heart, soul, and mind — total allegiance of affection, life, and intellect. Nothing is held back and nothing rivals Him. Every other command hangs on this one; it is the center of all obedience.
Matthew 22:37 KJV“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”

Jesus calls for total love — not a portion of your heart alongside other loves, but all of it: every affection, every impulse, every thought directed toward God. This is the greatest commandment because it is the one that exposes everything in us competing for first place. Is God actually first in your life — not in category but in practice? What do your daily decisions reveal about what you love most?
Love God with everything today. You know what competes: comfort, approval, control, security. The next time you face a choice between God and what you want, choose Him. Redirect your mind to Him when frustration hits. Turn your heart toward Him when fear rises. All of you, all day — heart, soul, mind, strength. Let nothing share His place.
When you pour your entire heart, soul, and mind into loving God, you draw near to the Father with nothing between you. This total orientation opens the way for deep intimacy and transforms how you experience His presence. You are His, completely.
